Ranked Choice Voting presentation in Rutland

May 2, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm EDT

Tuesday May 2 | 7 p.m. | Rutland Free Library

Join us in the Fox Room at the Rutland Free Library to learn more about what is happening with Ranked Choice Voting in Vermont.  League of Women Voters of Vermont member Betty Keller will talk about how ranked choice voting (RCV) works, why RCV is particularly helpful for giving voters more voice in presidential primaries, and what is in S.32, the current Vermont bill on RCV.
This is your opportunity to learn more about ranked choice voting, a voting reform method that will improve our democracy, and, which could be the future of how we vote in Vermont. We will have a mock election with paper ballots, and demonstration of how ballots are easily counted in hand-count towns in Ireland, which has been using RCV for over 100 years.
