Education Fund Board of Directors

Catherine Rader, Chair, league@lwvofvt.org

Kate has been active in the League since 1981, in Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Vermont. The League has given her life-long friends, a platform, and confidence to speak up on issues.

After moving to Vermont in 2001, she learned the local League in the Montpelier area had dissolved in 1998. It became her goal to reestablish the League in Central Vermont, and the LWVCEN was recognized by the LWVUS in 2004.  Kate served as President of the state board, LWVVT, from 2005 until 2011, and remained on the board until 2019. During her administration, the Presidents of the Quad States (ME, NH, RI and VT) established the Annual Quad States (now New England States) Leadership Development Conference.

She joined the League of Women Voters of Vermont Education Fund Board in 2018.

Kate enjoys offering hospitality, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and reading (mostly mystery novels).
