Hertz/Rader Lecture Series: Voting Rights and Access to the Ballot

The League of Women Voters of Vermont, in partnership with Kellogg-Hubbard Library, presents the 2025-26 Hertz/Rader Lecture Series, Voting Rights and Access to the Ballot.
Professor Alec Ewald, Political Science, UVM, will discuss the History & Impact of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965. Additionally, he will review Louisiana v. Callais a case currently before the Supreme Court in which the Court will consider striking down Section 2 of the VRA which prohibits racial discrimination in voting policies and district maps.
