MY VOTER PAGE: SECRETARY OF STATE PORTAL

My Voter Page (https://mvp.vermont.gov) is Vermont’s online voter portal and your primary online resource for all election information unique to you.  It is NOT the official record of your registration, which is retained by the voter registration office in the town of your residence.

Start your online registration using personal information to log in. Once there you can:

  • Check your voter registration status and update your information including name and address changes
  • Locate your polling place and the hours polls are open
  • Request and track status of your absentee ballot
  • View a sample ballot and list of candidates for upcoming elections

If you’re a first-time voter, you must provide a photocopy of an acceptable form of ID, such as a driver’s license, U.S. passport, current utility bill, bank statement, or a government document that lists your residential address, and take the Voter’s Oath.

There is no deadline to register; you may register to vote up to and including the day of the election. However, if you register online the day before the election or on Election Day, your application may not be processed, your name may not appear on the checklist, and you may be asked to fill out another application at the polls. To be sure your name appears on the checklist, you should register by the Friday before the election.

Know that you are not registered to vote until your application is approved by the Town Clerk. You should receive an acknowledgment within two to four weeks after submitting or mailing your registration. Contact your Town Clerk if you have not received any information within this time.

Important dates for voting in Vermont: General Election, November 8, 2022; Town Meeting, March 7, 2023; Primary Election, March 5, 2024
