Tim Jerman replaces originally scheduled speaker, Christopher Pearson. Tim worked with Rep. Pearson to pass the National Popular Vote in the House and Senate. He will talk about National Popular Vote, a state-based effort to fix the Electoral College. It has passed 17 states (including Vermont) and has 205 electoral votes out of the 270 needed to bring it into effect. Pearson, a national organizer for the project, will update us on the progress and explain why electing the president by popular vote is fundamental to protecting our democracy.
