RSVP https://bit.ly/LWVVTgerrymandering \nThe League of Women Voters of Vermont\, in partnership with Kellogg-Hubbard Library\, presents the fourth lecture\, Gerrymandering as part of its 2025-26 Hertz/Rader Lecture Series\, Voting Rights and Access to the Ballot.  \n \nThomas Tai\, staff attorney at the League of Women Voters of the United States\, will discuss how the partisan drawing of electoral district boundaries can influence political power and affect representation\, ultimately resulting in the party choosing voters rather than voters choosing candidates. \nTai provides legal research and litigation support for the LWVUS Advocacy and Litigation team. He is also responsible for managing federal litigation and supporting state litigation in the 9th and 10th circuits\, which include the states of Alaska\, Hawaii\, Washington\, Oregon\, California\, Idaho\, Montana\, Nevada\, Arizona\, Utah\, New Mexico\, Colorado\, Wyoming\, Oklahoma\, and Kansas.  \nIn its tenth season\, the League of Women Voters of Vermont Lecture Series\, is designed to bring outstanding speakers to discuss contemporary issues related to democracy and social justice. Questions can be sent\, in advance to league@lwvofvt.org.  \n  \nFinal Presentation \nMarch 11: John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the SAVE Act.
