Free. \nRSVP at bit.ly/VotingRightsLecture \nThe League of Women Voters of Vermont\, in partnership with Kellogg-Hubbard Library\, presents the 2025-26 Hertz/Rader Lecture Series\, Voting Rights and Access to the Ballot.  \nProfessor Alec Ewald\, Political Science\, UVM\, will discuss the History & Impact of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965. Additionally\, he will review Louisiana v. Callais a case currently before the Supreme Court in which the Court will consider striking down Section 2 of the VRA which prohibits racial discrimination in voting policies and district maps. \nQuestions can be sent\, in advance to league@lwvofvt.org.  \nIn its tenth season\, the League of Women Voters of Vermont Lecture Series\, is designed to bring outstanding speakers to discuss contemporary issues related to democracy and social justice. \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nUpcoming presentations:  \n\nJanuary 14: Voter Suppression methods.\nFebruary 11: Gerrymandering.\nMarch 11: John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the SAVE Act.
