Also on Burlington Telecom 217 and Comcast 1087. \nMeet the candidates running for Governor in the November 5 General Election – Esther Charlestin (Democratic)\, June Goodband (Green Mountain Peace and Justice)\, and Kevin Hoyt and Eli “Poa” Mutino (Independents). An invitation was issued to Governor Phil Scott (Republican)\, however\, he will not be attending. Tom McKone\, former Executive Director of Kellogg-Hubbard Library\, will serve as moderator. \nThe Governor leads Vermont’s executive branch\, upholds and executes all state laws\, commissions all officers of the state\, implements the state budget\, expedites legislative business\, calls special sessions of the General Assembly when necessary\, is commander-in-chief of the naval and militia forces \, and has limited powers to grant pardons and reprieves.  \nThe Forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Vermont\, Fletcher Free Library\, and CCTV. Questions can be sent to league@lwvofvt.org.
